Temirkhan Baybosynovich Berdimuratov, PhD in Psychology, Doctor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management (DBA), Professor at the International University in Moscow (1998), Doctor of Civil Law (honoris causa) from the European University (Montreux, Switzerland, 2008); founder of the Kazakh-Russian International University (KRMU) in 1994 in Aktobe, Kazakhstan, the first non-governmental international university in the region, established on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, N.A. Awarded the Orders "Friendship of Nations" (2009), "Kazakhstan Glory" (2013). Honored with Letters of Gratitude from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, N.A. Nazarbayev. Awarded the Diploma of the Presidium of the Board of the Great International Encyclopedia "Best People" in the nomination "Gallery of Glory" (2011), in 2013 received the certificate "Best Scientist" and the "Manager of the Year" medal for achievements in university management from the International Business Assembly at Oxford University. In 2015, received the special business award from the World Confederation of Business "World Business Leader of the Year 2015."
In 2016, for his contributions to state and public activities, significant input into the socio-economic and cultural development of the country, and strengthening friendship and cooperation between nations, he was awarded the State Award of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the "Kurmet" Order, in honor of the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence.
In 2016, the Organizing Committee of the Public Program "National Unity" supported by the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs awarded him the international award "Recognition."
Professor T.B. Berdimuratov successfully implemented creative ideas into a real pedagogical system: he founded the Kazakh-Russian International University (formerly the Aktobe Institute of Management, Business, and Law "NUR", 1994), which is distinguished by unique educational and upbringing practices, especially in the creation of favorable conditions for education and personal growth of students, focusing on the development of their creative thinking and aesthetic perception of the world. He applied his scientific ideas in pedagogical practice, created scientific laboratories for the special study and development of effective learning models within modern education, and implemented innovative project-based learning technologies.
T.B. Berdimuratov is one of the leading professors in the region, conducting in-depth theoretical, methodological, scientific, and experimental research in the fields of psychology-pedagogical and person-centered educational technologies, as well as applied psychology. He was a leading specialist, permanent lecturer, and project supervisor in the Psychology Department at KRMU; developer of author courses and training programs such as "Learn to Learn," "Fundamentals of Self-Education," "Specialized Course in NLP," "Cross-disciplinary Model of Pedagogical Technology for the Person-Centered System of Education: Fostering Effective Thinking and Behavior Based on NLP Methods," and "Educational System Development: Innovations and Technologies."
He established a full cycle of scientific personnel training by opening doctoral programs in "Jurisprudence," "Management," "Finance," "Life Safety and Environmental Protection," and "Design."
The results of Professor T.B. Berdimuratov's long-standing pedagogical work and scientific research include the creation of the Research Institute of Neuro-Linguistic Learning Technologies at KRMU, the development of the author's pedagogical trainer – GPS navigator, the creation of a new pedagogical technology – cross-disciplinary model of the person-centered educational system: fostering effective thinking and behavior based on NLP methods, and the publication of a series of textbooks and scientific works on relevant issues of teaching methodology, education, personality development, and the formation of competencies for both educators and students.
Professor Berdimuratov's work, published in Kazakh, Russian, and English, has been recognized by the scientific community in European universities as well as in Russia and Kazakhstan.
His works contain many new observations and data from experimental research conducted over different periods of his pedagogical and scientific practice. These include the person-centered model of the university's educational system based on neuro-linguistic levels of change, experience in creating the cross-disciplinary pedagogical technology for fostering effective thinking and behavior, and the use of the latest psycho-technologies in student transformation.
Berdimuratov is credited with developing and executing fundamental research projects on the State Budget Program 014 "Applied Scientific Research in Education," on topics such as the "Development of Scientific and Methodological Foundations for Organizing Professional Education for Adults in Inclusive Education" (Almaty: APNK, Aktobe: KRMU, 2007). He also led research and development projects on topics like the "Experimental Design of the NLP-based Model of Generative Learning to Achieve the Highest System Modeling Level of Behavior and Activity" (Aktobe: KRMU, 2009) and "Cross-disciplinary Model of Pedagogical Technology for the Person-Centered System of Education" (Aktobe: KRMU, 2011).
He is also known for creating the Museum of Antiques and the Museum of Design Innovations. The innovative projects implemented at KRMU are aimed at effectively teaching and nurturing leadership qualities among students and faculty. The special innovative culture of the university has been formed based on Professor Berdimuratov's research over nearly 24 productive years, as well as the successful activities of the university's creative team.
Professor Berdimuratov was a prominent public figure. He hosted prominent politicians and officials from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Europe at the Kazakh-Russian International University, including N.A. Nazarbayev, the first President of Kazakhstan (August 1998), S.A. Nazarbayeva, First Lady of Kazakhstan (1999), V.N. Nikolenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Kazakhstan (1998), and many other distinguished figures in politics, art, education, and science.
He served as a member of the Aktobe Regional Maslikhat (1999-2003) and as a trusted representative for N.A. Nazarbayev in the presidential elections in Aktobe region (1999, 2005). From 2010-2014, he was Chairman of the Scientific Expert Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Aktobe region.
Professor T.B. Berdimuratov is the author of a nine-volume collection of pedagogical works "In Search of the Pedagogical Grail," developer of elective courses in self-education, and leader of scientific Institutes and Centers at KRMU in psychological-pedagogical and educational technologies. He is also the leader of the project "Training Psychology Students as Operators of the KRMU Teaching Management Center Based on NLP as Educators of the University's Educational Process."
Public and Political Activity
Professor T.B. Berdimuratov also played a significant role in public life. He hosted prominent public figures and officials from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Europe at the Kazakh-Russian International University on several occasions. Additionally, he served as a deputy of the Aktobe Regional Maslikhat (1999-2003) and as a trusted representative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, N.A. Nazarbayev. T.B. Berdimuratov was also the Chairman of the Scientific-Expert Council of the National Assembly of Kazakhstan (2010-2014).
