International cooperation and academic mobility

ACADEMIC MOBILITY AT KRMU In order to integrate KRMU

into the global educational space, ensure academic mobility of teachers and students, and introduce international quality standards in education, special importance is attached to international cooperation. Academic exchange between universities is one of the ways to internationalize education and share experiences. Thus, within the framework of academic exchange agreements, 4 students from South Korea came to Aktobe in the Kyrgyz Republic to study the Kazakh language, literature and culture for the 2018-2019 academic year. Their success in learning the Kazakh language is encouraging. International students have created a Korean language club at the university, where everyone can learn Korean. In turn, 2 teachers of the Department of Economics, Management and Service completed an internship at the Academy of Tourism (Antalya, Turkey) in September 2018. As a result, they received certificates of Economics and Management in Tourism. Also, 3 people from the faculty of KRMU visited the Alcide de Gasperi University of Euro-Regional Economics in Jozefow (Poland) in the period from 12.03.2018 to 20.03.2018 as part of academic mobility on the scientific topic "Modern trends in intercultural communication". In January 2018, as a result of negotiations between KRMU and the Bezalel Academy of Arts (Jerusalem, Israel), Rector of KRMU Berdimuratov Temerkhan Baybosynovich visited the Israeli National Academy of Arts. The meeting of the rectors of the two sides was held in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A tour of the Bezalel Academy's main campus was conducted, with visits to the Departments of Fine Arts, Industrial Design and architecture. In 2019, thanks to the establishment of cooperation with Adiyaman University and the signing of a bilateral protocol on cooperation within the framework of the Mevlana program, undergraduate students and faculty of KRMU had the opportunity for academic exchange with the University of Turkey. The purpose of the Mevlana program is to exchange students and teachers between higher education institutions in Turkey and higher education institutions in other countries. Academic exchange between higher education institutions in Turkey and higher education institutions in other countries became possible after the official publication of the program's provisions on August 23, 2011 (No. 28034). Students can study abroad for at least one (minimum) or two (maximum) semesters. Teachers can give lectures abroad from one week (minimum) to three months (maximum). Accordingly, students and teachers from any country can benefit from this program by studying or giving lectures at the invitation of Turkish higher education institutions. Every year, students of KRMU have the opportunity to apply for participation in this program. One of the features of this program is the fact that the students of this program receive a scholarship from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) of Turkey, and the teaching staff are compensated for transportation costs. In 2018, KRMU, as part of a consortium with Lincoln International Business School (London, UK), worked together to prepare documents and apply for the Creative Spark: Higher Education Enterprise Program, funded by the British Council. More recently, the results of the repeated competition were announced, where the university, together with Lincoln International Business School, became finalists. As part of the collaboration with Lincoln International Business School, a guest online lecture was held for students of KRMU with the participation of successful businessman Andy Harsley with the lecture theme The Effective Way to both evaluate business opportunities and know your market. Also in 2019, thanks to the trip of Saken Ayladyrovich Utaliev, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities, and students of KRMU along the route of the cities of the Great Silk Road, a memorandum was signed with the International Institute of Central Asian Studies (Samarkand, Uzbekistan). As a result of this cooperation, MITZAI donated 33 titles of historical and cultural books to the KRM. Among them: "The Era of Yusuf Balasaguni", "Culture of the Nomads of Central Asia", "Major Sufi Brotherhoods of Central Asia", "Jami al-waqi at-i sultani", "The cities and routes of the Great Silk Road (on Central Asia documents)", "Atlas of Central Asia artistic crafts and trades, A history of the Khorezmian State under the Anushteginids", etc. Currently, all these books in Russian and English are freely available to students and teachers of the KRMU. According to the results of the 2017-2018 academic year, a total of 29 contracts were signed with partners from Poland, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, and Tajikistan. Following the results of the 2018-2019 academic year, 12 contracts were signed with partners from Lithuania, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Belarus.
